Have you created the log to save to?

it would automatically create the logs on my old computer. i just had to change the sessions.
Do I need to set up a dummy file first?

I think I know what is causing it... Win7 is causing it.

It is part of the various layers of security and stuff that is limiting our ability to do things. Everything is considered an attack; all software, a virus.

I could not get 4.x to work, so I d/l'd 5.0.7x... I will test again tomorrow.

But now, I get an access error to some file called "io.sys.log". Claims it needs admin access, and well, gee, I AM THE ADMIN!

It's not a Win7 issue.

I run Win7 on both my PC and my Laptop and have no issues with either V4 or V5.

You may need to right click on the program icon and click on "Run as Administrator" on the desktop icon.

Not to put too fine a point on it, if Win7 would respect my authority, then I wouldn't have to force it to "run as administrator."

I get error "Unable to start IO.SYS service. Error Code 1275".

Now, that may be because I am not connected to the car... I will grant that is possible.

Will test more tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.
